The ‘Inventors Room’ because our young scientists invent through wonder, curiosity and questioning

The qualified and caring staff team in The Inventors Room cater for children upto 5 years old. Planning is based on the interests of the children, encouraging them to develop enthusiasm and a joy for learning, confidence and a positive attitude to learning.

Regular conversations with parents ensure the children’s needs are met, for example if they need a daytime nap or period of rest.

The Inventors Room offers stimulating, exciting activities to stretch the skills and imagination of the children; working towards a readiness for school. The children are supported to independently access learning within the continuous provision and through free flow to the outdoor area across the 7 areas of learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage. We believe our children strive in an environment where they have first-hand experiences of the world around them.

Meals are had together as a whole setting in our large dining room.

Our staff provide a balanced provision of adult supported and play experiences. We ensure The Inventors Room includes challenge with the aim of encouraging children’s initiative. We support the children’s development and consolidation of these skills and concepts by giving them the time and opportunities to make sense of their world, grow in confidence, and for them to believe in themselves as capable and powerful learners.

We work closely with the local schools to ensure your child has a smooth and happy transition to school.
